Collaboration

Paul Bennett from IDEO as written a short article in the Independent ‘Soapbox: ‘Look to collaborate with those who can do what you can’t’’.  The article explores the idea of involving customers and people to collaborate and help generate new ideas.   He sites examples such as Starbuck’s ‘My Starbucks Idea’ where customers can suggest improvements and new ideas.  It’s interesting to note how ‘small ideas’ can be the real drivers of success (and are easier to implement)!

Just looking at one of the small ideas we have implemented which has had a real impact on the bottom line includes  re-designing the menu board in a cafe, which improved the user experience and uptake.
